Superstition or Survival

I think superstitions has help play a role in our survival, but not only superstitions, but I also think religion too, as religion also helps us think that we have a place in this world, and by that thinking we are happier, having a sense of purpose. We are still master of Earth, so its safe to say everything that we do probably gives us a advantage over the other species.
